The song Paraiso by Smokey Mountain is a song dedicated to a land called "Paraiso" which literally translates "Paradise". But ironic to its name, paraiso is actually a poor place where people live. However, we can infer that the singer or writer per se called the land paraiso as he/she grew up in this place and he/she has been wanting to return to this place but in dilemma of course due to the land's current unlivable situation.

It can also be clearly heard that the song calls for help that their Paraiso, our Paraiso, be saved and be revived from its unfortunate situation.

[Verse 1 ]

Return to a land called Paraiso

A place where a dying river ends

No birds dare fly over Paraiso

No space allows them to endure

The smoke that screens the air

The grass that's never there

As the first verse speaks, this land where no birds dare to stay and where the smoke is very inevitable, where greens like trees or plants don't even grow because of the unhealthy living place it actually is.

[Chorus ]

Paraiso, help me make a stand

Paraiso, take me by the hand

Paraiso, make the world understand

The chorus of the songs then, speaks out loud how it cries out loud, asking for help, asking for aid that Paraiso be saved and be once more livable and healthy place to stay in.

23. anak ng pasig by smokey mountains negative change it to positive lyrics

Answer:

The lyrics is not mine. It is composed by Geneva Cruz.

Walis doon, Linis dito

Kulay asul ang langit kong ito

Nilinis din ang Ilog ko

Akala ko'y ganoon talaga ang mundo

Hanggang nakakita ako ng bagong litrato

Inaasahang Pasig din ang tinitignan ko

Kaibigan ang ganda dito

(Napakaganda, Napakaganda)

Anak ng Pasig naman kayo

Walis doon, Linis dito

Kulay asul ang langit kong ito

Nilinis din ang Ilog ko

Anak ng Pasig naman kayo

Walis doon, Linis dito

Di n'yo alam ang nililinis n'yo

Ay bukas…

The smoke that screens the air
The grass that's never there

A simple song to be heard by the rest of the

In a house made of cardboard floors and walls
I learned to be free in paraiso
Free to claim anything I see
Matching rags for my clothes
Plastic bags for the colds

And if empty cans were all I have
What a joy!
I never fight to take someone else's coins
and live with fear like the rest of the boys
